Funny thing, the geese get along with the ducks but you will see them posture themselves against other geese. Several Blue Herons come to the pond and this is one of the larger birds. First time I have seen a goose challenge or charge anything other than other geese.

Maybe the geese are nesting? They'll go after about anything, including people, when they have a nest.
