I'm not sure what I was trying to take a picture of but I was using the window as a means of steadying the camera. I wanted to keep the ISO as low as possible in a night shot. What I got in return was a terrible, not savable picture that has since been deleted, however, this image was available and interesting. I have the outdoors as well as the indoors at the same time. How did I do this you ask....gonna tell you anyway even if you don't ask. As I was taking the picture my wife, not knowing what I was doing, came into the room and turned the desk light on. This illuminated the room so that a file cabinet can be seen, just the corner of the bookcase can be seen and the Madison Scout drummer images on the shirt I was wearing are even fairly clear. If I didn't know better it almost looks as if I am playing a horn, pffsst.....not me.....percussion all the way. At the same time you can see the outdoors, the street lights and roads are lit up as well as the shadow of a tree on the bank of the pond. It's even clear enough that the algae that is floating is visible. To the right of the street light in the middle of the lens are a series of 5 dots of light that is caused by the double pain glass...it is the tower lights just a tad more the the right off in the distance. Lastly, I really like my right hand supporting the lens...nanu-nanu, shazbot! beam me up Scotty.

Something to Reflect Upon
Reflections can turn one is all directions. You can reflect on your day that has just past or what you have seen. Here, I capture the reflection of the trees for this falls season if not for their color this year but to remember them in the future. This day was pretty much cloudy all day but as late afternoon arrived so did the sun. Long shadows started showing on the bank of the pond and the siding of the house in the distance.
Just something to reflect upon.

Reflections of a Blue Heron
The ice is starting to give way to its liquid state around the edges so a Blue Heron decided to visit and try its luck at fishing for a meal. Missed it on camera but I did witness two catches. There is very little disturbance in the water as it moves creating an almost mirrored reflection.

Reflections
We went from a dreary rainy weekend with some breezes to bring on a chill to a bright sunny day with just enough pillowy clouds with some magenta reflecting from the sun to paint this on the pond behind our home.

Moon Shots From 12/03/12
Sky shots of any kind need definition and clouds are pretty much the only thing that works. I use to fly radio control airplanes and the best time to fly was with a back drop of clouds to help keep your orientation. After all, you aren't in the cockpit unless you have one of the newer cameras mounted and know how to view what you are seeing....ie drones.
There was just a whisper of clouds in the sky last night. I couldn't leave well enough alone, the original pictures came out pretty good right from the camera. Night shots can be bit to get right. The first picture has some HDR (High Definition Resolution) with some Levels tweaking, color control as well and changing from color to black and white. Image was taken through a window.
This shot I call Reflections. You could all it a vertical panorama.
You can enlarge if you desire.

Reflections
Strangest weather I've seen. So hot all summer with little to no rain and it's only the first of September. 90 degrees tomorrow with and high humidity. Fog is setting in tonight. I got this picture of the tree in the back that is turning colors. I just happened to catch the water sitting on the deck railing.
